Product Introduction
SANS 1123 is a flange standard issued by the National Bureau of Standards of South Africa, which includes various types of flanges, and neck butt welding flanges are one of the commonly used connection methods.
Necked butt welding flange is a connection method for welding a flange onto the end of a pipe. It is characterized by a circular neck around the flange, and is commonly used for high-pressure or high-temperature pipe connections. It is widely used in various fields due to its strong connection, good sealing, and strong bearing capacity.
The SANS 1123 standard specifies different types of neck welded flanges, including PN6-PN100 flanges, Type 01 flanges, Type 11 flanges, and Type 05 flanges.
PN6-PN100 flanges are classified according to different pressure levels. PN6 indicates that the maximum working pressure of the flange is 6 bar, and PN100 indicates that the maximum working pressure is 100 bar. The selection of flanges with different pressure ratings needs to be determined according to the specific application situation.
The circular neck of the Type 01 flange and the diameter of the pipe are the same, and it is suitable for connection with some smaller pipe specifications. The round neck of the Type 11 flange is one circle larger than the diameter of the pipe, and can withstand higher pressure. It is suitable for some high-pressure pipe connections. The type 05 flange has the same diameter as the pipe, but its inner bore is relatively large, making it suitable for connecting equipment with larger pipe sizes.
When selecting a neck welded flange, it is also necessary to consider factors such as the selection of flange material and manufacturing process.
