Product Introduction

Stainless steel pipe is a type of hollow, long, cylindrical steel that is not prone to rusting. It is non magnetic and is commonly used as a pipeline for conveying fluids.

Applicable Scope

Pipelines used for conveying fluids are mainly widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, mechanical instruments, as well as mechanical structural components.
Stainless steel pipes are made of steel billets of acid and heat resistant grades, which are heated, perforated, sized, hot-rolled, and cut.

Classification

There are two basic categories of stainless steel pipes:stainless steel seamless steel pipes and stainless steel seam steel pipes.

According to the outer diameter shape of steel pipes, they can be divided into round pipes and special-shaped pipes. Circular steel pipes are widely used, but there are also some square, rectangular, semi-circular, hexagonal, equilateral triangle, octagonal and other special-shaped steel pipes.

For steel pipes that are subjected to fluid pressure, hydraulic testing and radiographic testing are required to verify their pressure resistance and quality. It is considered qualified if there is no leakage, wetting, or expansion under the specified pressure. Some steel pipes also need to undergo edge rolling tests, expansion tests, flattening tests, etc. according to standards or the requirements of the purchaser.

Seamless stainless steel pipe, also known as stainless steel seamless pipe, is made by piercing steel ingots or solid pipe blanks into a capillary tube, which is then hot rolled, cold rolled, or cold drawn. The specifications of seamless steel pipes are expressed in millimeters of outer diameter * wall thickness.

304 stainless steel is the most commonly used material in stainless steel.
