Stainless Steel DIN-1.4301/1.4307

1.4301 and 1.4307 in the German standard correspond to AISI 304 and AISI 304L stainless steel in the international standard respectively. These two stainless steels are commonly referred to as “X5CrNi18-10″ and “X2CrNi18-9″ in German standards.

1.4301 and 1.4307 stainless steel are suitable for the manufacture of various types of fittings including but not limited to pipes, elbows, flanges, caps, tees, crosses, etc.

Chromium (Cr): 18.0-20.0%
Nickel (Ni): 8.0-10.5%
Manganese (Mn): ≤2.0%
Silicon (Si): ≤1.0%
Phosphorus (P): ≤0.045%
Sulfur (S): ≤0.015%

1.4307/X2CrNi18-9:
Chromium (Cr): 17.5-19.5%
Nickel (Ni): 8.0-10.5%
Manganese (Mn): ≤2.0%
Silicon (Si): ≤1.0%
Phosphorus (P): ≤0.045%
Sulfur (S): ≤0.015%

Features:

1. Corrosion resistance:
1.4301 and 1.4307 stainless steels have good corrosion resistance, especially for most common corrosive media.
2. Weldability:
These stainless steels have good weldability under proper welding conditions.
3. Processing performance:
Cold and hot working can be performed to manufacture components of various shapes and sizes.

Advantages and disadvantages:

Advantage:
These stainless steels have good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties and are used in a wide variety of applications. They are suitable for low and high temperature environments.
Disadvantages:
