Product Introduction

The flanging nipple is one of the steel butt-welded pipe fittings. Generally, it is a section inside the loose flange.

In the flanging process, the outer edge of the roughened part is usually a non-deformation area due to the constraint of the blank holder force or the large ratio of the outer edge width to the diameter of the flanging hole. The rigid wall part has been deformed, which is a force transfer area, and the bottom of the hole is a deformation area. The deformation area is in a two-way tensile stress state (the stress in the direction of the plate thickness is ignored). The deformation area will become thinner under the action of the tensile stress, which is the same as the bulging. For the inner hole flanging deformation area of non-circular hole, its stress and strain distribution is uneven along the flanging line. Under the same flanging height, the tangential tensile stress and tangential elongation deformation are larger at the part with smaller radius of curvature; while the tangential tensile stress and tangential elongation deformation are smaller at the part with larger radius of curvature
